Veteran Student Services
Serving Those Who Serve
For 16 consecutive years, UW-Stout has been named a Military Friendly® School and has been recognized as the top public university in Wisconsin for veterans by Military Times. That's not a coincidence.
It's the result of a sustained commitment to making sure military-affiliated students, veterans, and their families have everything they need to succeed.
UW-Stout's degree programs in engineering, manufacturing, information technology, supply chain management, and business are built to align with military roles and translate the technical expertise, leadership, and discipline you've developed in service into credentials that accelerate your civilian career.
And Veteran Services is there from day one to make sure you're not navigating that transition alone.
They'll help you access federal and state military education benefits, from the GI Bill® and Department of Defense tuition assistance to Wisconsin National Guard tuition grants.
But our servicemember support goes beyond benefits. Veteran Services connects military-affiliated students to a full support ecosystem, including a dedicated Military & Veteran Resource Center in Bowman Hall, a peer-to-peer Veteran Mentorship Program, a student Veterans Club, a Council on Veteran Services, and a Military Benefits 101 course to help incoming students hit the ground running.
