IT & Communications
Upgrade Your Career Options
From cybersecurity and software development to business tech and communications, UW-Stout trains more technology graduates than any UW university north of Madison, and we have the national credentials to prove why. Stout was the first four-year university in Wisconsin designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C) by the National Security Agency (NSA). We're a designated Department of Defense Cyber Defense Academy. And our B.S. Computer Networking & Infrastructure Engineering program is the only dedicated four-year CAE Program of Study in the state.
If you're passionate about cyber defense, Stout is the perfect place to pursue a broad degree in cybersecurity or concentrate on network or software vulnerability. But IT and communication degrees at Stout go beyond cybersecurity. Routinely ranked among the best in the nation, Stout is also the only school in Wisconsin with game design programs in art and computer science. And we have degrees in business and marketing technology and technical communication.
Regardless of what you pursue, you can count on opportunities to earn industry certifications throughout your degree path, compete in intercollegiate competitions, pursue paid internships, and graduate with the credentials that prove to employers you will make an impact on day one.
