Career Services
Career Support from Day One
Career support at Stout starts the semester you arrive and is intentionally integrated throughout your education to help you explore career paths, build professional skills, and connect with employers.
Our Career Services will support your professional development through every stage of your degree. Resume reviews, mock interviews, job shadow opportunities, and access to Handshake, a platform connecting you to more than 725,000 employers and hundreds of internship and job postings, will make sure you're ready to shine when the moment arrives.
And if you don't have the clothes, Blaze's Professional Closet offers free business attire for students heading off to interview, because the cost of a suit shouldn't ever cost you a job.
As for professional experience, Career Services' award-winning Grow, Persist, Succeed (GPS) program is designed specifically for first- and second-year students and transfer students who want to build professional momentum early.
Through paid, on-campus jobs paired with intentional career coaching, GPS helps you develop the resume, interview skills, and professional identity that will distinguish you during the job hunt from your peers.
As an upperclassman, Career Services' award-winning internship and co-op program will connect you with employers, prepare you for the experience, and help you build the relationships that frequently become full-time offers.
More than a third of Stout students accept positions with their internship employer before graduation. That's not luck. That's a system that works.
Stout students have won national Coop Student of the Year awards, and we routinely hear from big brands like General Motors, Ocean Spray, and others how our students saved them hundreds of thousands of dollars in process and product efficiencies.
