Research in the Rotunda
Research Day isn't the only opportunity for Stout students to present their work to the world. Research in the Rotunda provides a platform for students to present their applied research on a big stage.
Each spring, selected UW-Stout undergraduate researchers travel to the Wisconsin State Capitol to showcase their findings directly to legislators, state leaders, and policymakers in the Capitol Rotunda.
It's one of the most visible platforms available to undergraduate researchers in Wisconsin, and it sends a clear message that applied research happening at UW-Stout isn't just academically rigorous. It's relevant to the future of the state.
For the students selected to participate, it's the kind of experience that doesn't just build a résumé. It builds confidence, professional presence, and a direct connection between the problems they're investigating and the people in a position to act on them.
